Melissa Zapin started as a soprano in Honolulu, Hawaii when an unforgettable rendition of Je veux vivre from Romeo et Juliet won her the title of Miss Hawaii and a trip to the famed Miss America stage, where she secured a top ten finish. In addition to a blooming opera career, Ms. Zapin has enjoyed an active and diverse career as an in-demand voiceover artist and actress, appearing on television in hit shows such as Sex in the City and the current Elementary with Lucy Liu. For the fourth year in a row, Metropolitan Opera’s Keith Miller will coordinate a night of opera to benefit the Savannah Children’s Choir’s Travel Scholarship Fund.  Miller has teamed up with internationally-know “Rock Star Pianist” Konstantin Soukhovetski who will also have completed a week’s residency with the choir leading up to this event.  Soukhovetski will serve as guest conductor, director and accompanist.
